On 30 January 2022, Cheslie Kryst was found dead on the sidewalk beneath her apartment building at 7:15 a.m. She was used to living on the 9th floor of her apartment building located on West 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan. She was last seen on the 29th floor of her building. A few hours before her demise she posted a photo on Instagram with the caption “May this day bring you rest and peace”. She had left a message which says that she handovers all things to her mother that she had before taking her own life. On her demise, her family requested the reporters and media to give them some privacy such words ”Cheslie embodied love and served others, whether as an attorney fighting against social injustice, as Miss USA or as an EXTRA host.”

Cheslie Kryst was a civil attorney who conducted the cases of prisoners who sentence unjustly free of cost. She also worked in the entertainment news program “Extra”. The company stated a statement as ”Our hearts are broken, Cheslie was not just a vital part of our show. She was a beloved part of our Extra family and touched the entire staff. Our deepest condolences to all her family and friends.” The year Cheslie Kryst won the title of Miss USA she was among the five ladies who all were women of colors. She openly accepted that she and her fellow winners are far from the color race. “Three of the last four Miss USAs were women of color — there was Kara McCullough, there was Deshauna Barber — and that was important for me to see.” She cleared her perspective and goals on life after becoming the Miss USA in 2019.
