Erik Escobar (NBC’s Last Comic Standing), Christine Merdrano (Funny or Die, Canada’s Next Top Comic), Zac James (Yuk Yuks, The World Famous Comedy Store) and Alex Davenport (Comedy Central’s Not Safe For Work) team up for the Almost Asian Comedy Tour, a stand up comedy tour featuring two half Filipino comedians, a Korean adopted by a Caucasian family, and a guy who looks like Bruno Mars (sort of) making this hilarity not 100% Asian, but certainly almost Asian. The tour will begin on March 2 at Spokane, Washington’s beautiful Blue Door Theatre and will work its way through Washington, Oregon, and California hitting theatres, clubs, and venues all across the Pacific!
Alex Davenport started doing stand up at 18 years old and has performed at clubs all over Los Angeles and colleges as the youngest member of the Original frat boys of comedy and has been featured on Comedy Central’s Not Safe For Work Showcase. Christine Merdrano was a finalist in Canada’s Next Top Comic, NBCUniversal’s Stand up for Diversity, a Semi-finalist for the Laugh Factory’s Laugh Bowl and was a writer for CBS’s Diversity showcase. In addition to sketch and stand up she also performs weekly at the Improv Space with her team Backyard Slampiece. She has performed at the Ventura Comedy festival and has performed in numerous comedy clubs around Los Angeles and across the cold barren winterland known as Canada.
