Performance October 25th
Perfect for beginners wanting to try something new, and seasoned performers looking to strengthen their skills. Introductory class Improv Games: Conquer Comedy teaches you how to tell a fast and strong story while taking risks in a positive and supportive environment. We’ll focus on story telling, making strong offers, character building, the strength in physicality, and silence in a scene.
The class will end with a performance on Oct. 25th.
Jessica Deprez started improvising back in 2005 as a casual hobby, but grew to love the form so much that she dived head first into the improv world in 2007. Since then, she’s been a part of a short form theater, as well as independent long form troupes such as Theoreticals, Mayhem! , Blacktop, City Life, and the director/coach for Downer’s Cove. She began teaching improv workshops in 2011 whenever she had a moment to share her love and knowledge. And while she has performed and taught improv abroad, her greatest international accomplishment was getting so thoroughly lost in London that Google Maps wouldn’t work. Multiple times. That takes talent.
